This month (April 2026) our office welcomed a very special guest with some incredible news. Matthew Shipley dropped by to hand-deliver the final results from this year’s Pink Ribbon Hockey Tournament, and the total has left our entire team speechless.
Thanks to the tireless dedication of Matthew, the players, the sponsors, and the community of supporters who rallied behind this event, the tournament raised a staggering $12,000+!
Direct Impact for Our Community
These funds are staying right here at home. The total has been directed to the We Care About Cancer Fund, a vital resource that provides practical, immediate support to local patients navigating their most challenging days. Whether it is helping with the cost of fuel for treatment appointments or ensuring there are groceries on the table, these dollars translate directly into relief and dignity for those in our community.

The Pink Ribbon Hockey Tournament has once again proven that the spirit of sport goes far beyond the final buzzer. It takes an immense amount of coordination and heart to reach a milestone like this, and we are profoundly grateful to everyone who laced up their skates or cheered from the stands.

About the We Care About Cancer Fund
The We Care About Cancer Fund was established to support patients undergoing cancer treatment at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. By providing gift cards for essentials like gas and groceries, the fund helps ease the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis, allowing patients to focus on what matters most: their health and recovery.
