Kohltech Employees Help Fund Cardiac Care
The Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation (CEHHCF) is excited to announce a generous donation from Kohltech employees, made through their Employee Giving Program. Their contribution funded an Echo Flex Ultrasound Bed for the new Cardiac Rapid Response Clinic, an essential piece of equipment that enhances patient comfort, improves diagnostic imaging, supports sonographer safety, and is equipped for emergency situations. This donation will have a lasting impact on both patient care and staff well-being.
“Kohltech is grateful to support many charitable organizations within the Colchester community. We also wanted to provide an easy way for our employees to do the same, and many years ago launched a program where employees can opt in to a weekly payroll deduction that makes it easy to budget their charitable giving. We selected the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation as an organization that each of our employees or their family or friends will rely on at some point. The CEHHCF has universal appeal, and we have a very high rate of participation in this program.” Kohltech President, Carl Ballard.
We are incredibly grateful for this support. The Foundation has committed to raising $308,000 to establish a new Cardiac Rapid Assessment Clinic and Stress Echocardiography service. We’ve already raised $102,000 with thanks to donors like the Kohltech Employee Giving Program, but we still need $206,000 to purchase critical equipment, including an echocardiography unit and a Lumify portable ultrasound.
These items are vital to bringing life-saving cardiac care to our community, reducing the need for patients to travel to Halifax for specialized testing. With your help, we can bring these services closer to home, provide faster diagnoses, and improve patient outcomes.
